In this episode we have the pleasure of interviewing Eran Mizrahi on the show, and Eran is the CEO of Ingredient Brothers.
Eran grew up watching his father grow a successful import business that was built on integrity and customer service. A South African transplant, Eran started his career at Deloitte. From there, he came to New York to pursue his MBA at Columbia ’14.
Eran was an early employee at Plated, where he focused on building planning and sourcing programs. The team’s collective efforts led to a $300M sale to Albertsons.
He then went to join Nuts.com, one of the world’s largest nuts and specialty ingredient e-commerce companies. He was quickly elevated to COO and quadrupled capacity to support growth in 2020.
In this episode, Eran discusses how he been able to scale a company to multi-millions in less than 2 years.
One of the key strategies that Eran discusses is how he has utilized OKR’s (Objectives & Key Results program, developed and made popular by Google) as a cornerstone of his execution system in his company.
He discusses how he utilizes two functional meeting types. One is OKR’s, which are strategic and moving the ball forward. The other is more operational and executing the promise for the client.
Eran also dives into how he has been so successful at operating remote teams in numerous time zones globally through technology and even talks about some of the stack he is using.
