In this episode we have the pleasure of interviewing Lisa Scott on the show, and Lisa is the CEO of Intuitive Edge, an alternative legal services company that manages high volume or complex contracts projects for Private Equity companies as well as other M&A related transactions.
Since founding Intuitive Edge in 2015, her company has grown to over $3 million in annual revenue and is expected to continue to grow exponentially. Her and her team have worked on over 5 procurement transitions in the private equity space for deals worth over $1B each. Her clients range from Dell Technologies to DirecTV to various sizes across multiple industries.
In this episode Lisa takes us into the world of contract preparation for M&A transactions, and how her company solves some of the major challenges in deals, specifically that you typically have multiple attorneys, project administration and contracts to coordinate, which can be a pain. Her company puts it all under one roof with a transaction dashboard, which in my opinion is huge.
Lisa shares with us some of her secrets to success, such as the importance of getting involved in your industry like tradeshows, not avoiding the hard decisions, and some great networking secrets to help introverts become social butterflies at networking events.
