In this episode we have the pleasure of interviewing Michelle Knox on the show, and Michelle is the CEO of WindSolar USA.

In 2008, Michelle formed WindSolarUSA, Inc. to provide all market segments an opportunity to be more sustainable and have a level of energy self-sufficiency. She received her training through the Midwest Renewable Energy Association in Custer, WI and she is a Certified Site Assessor for both Solar Photovoltaics and Solar Thermal.

She has completed over 300 photovoltaic projects ranging in size from 1kW to 160kW, various LED lighting and several wind and solar pool heating projects. She has written and been awarded multiple grants from USDA Rural Development’s Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) and Rural Business Development Grant (RBDG), as well as ICECF to fund 1kW+ educational solar installations to (13) schools across the state of IL, a children’s museum, and a zoo.
